The ambitious new work by artist William Kentridge and composer Philip Miller, The Head & the Load was presented at Tate Modern between 11 – 15 July.
Critics and audiences gave this epic work a rapturous reception at a packed Turbine Hall last week, – and now you can watch online for free here for the next 30 days.
The Head & the Load combined music, dance, film projections, mechanised sculptures and shadow play to tell the story of the millions of African porters and carriers who were involved in the First World War.
