War c/w I Murder Hate, Graham Fagen, 2014
In August Collective Architecture held The Empire Café; a week-long event in Glasgow which formed part of the Commonwealth Games Culture 2014 programme, that explored Scotland and the North Atlantic slave trade. As part of The Empire Café, Scottish artist Graham Fagen created a new film War c/w I Murder Hate inspired by Halie Selassie’s speech to the League of Nations in 1936, Bob Marley’s War and Robert Burns’ 1790 anti-war song I Murder Hate.
