Poppies: Wave Lincoln, 2016. Artist Paul Cummins & designer Tom Piper lay the final two poppies
The final poppies were added to Poppies: Wave this morning at Lincoln Castle, making this the second venue to present the installation, now open to the public until September 2016.
Lincolnshire has many strong ties with landmark events in World War One, when Lincoln Castle was used by the Lincolnshire Regiment for fundraisers and parades. Seven Lincolnshire battalions also took part in the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
