Our LETTER TO AN UNKNOWN SOLDIER project received a huge response. Publisher William Collins was so impressed by the number and quality of the letters submitted that they are to publish a book that gives a flavour of the wonderful letters that the soldier received. The book will be published to coincide with Armistice Day this year (11 November), so keep your eyes peeled.
Neil Bartlett and Kate Pullinger have personally selected over 130 letters from the 21,439 letters received that gives a taste of the wealth of ideas and feelings expressed in the letters. All the letters are available to read on the 14-18 NOW website and will be kept by the British Library after 14-18 NOW ends in 2019.
