We are looking for extraordinary new projects in a wide variety of artforms that engage audiences and participants in reflection on aspects the First World War, to be part of our future programme.
The search for new proposals follows the huge success of our first season of commissions, which reached at least 16.7 million people over the eight weeks leading up to 4 August 2014, the centenary of the day Britain entered the First World War.
Jenny Waldman, Director of 14-18 NOW, said:
‘We have been delighted by the response of artists and the public to the possibilities offered by the centenary of the First World War. It is a real opportunity to engage the widest possible range of people in the UK. To do that successfully we need the widest range of proposals from artists, arts and heritage organisations to help us commission works of the highest quality and build a compelling programme over the coming years.’
If you have a new project that meets our guidelines, you can find out more about the process and make your proposal here.
