World renowned street theatre company, Royal de Luxe (makers of The Sultan’s Elephant) return to Liverpool with Memories of 1914 for five days, from 23 – 27 July.
The Giants arrived in Liverpool today with people being given the first glimpse of the Grandmother who is lying in a deep sleep inside St George’s Hall. More than 10,000 people saw her today and more are expected tomorrow as she sleeps in the same spot where volunteers signed up for the Liverpool Pals Battalions one hundred years ago.
The Grandmother is expected to wake up on Friday to be seen on the streets of the Liverpool city centre. You can see her route through the city here.
