Letter to an Unknown Soldier.
Dear Granddad,
As life progresses my constant thoughts of you stream through my very veins. It is unthinkable that the unknown soldier is really you but I believe as this sort of dedication for one person would only be fitting for a person who you used to be. I’ve never encountered with your very presence but the positive and emotionally moving comments made by all the family suggests you were a one of a kind being and you have definitely, without doubt, made our family honoured to be in your name.
If you were alive today I would certainly play the game ’21 questions’ as my brain is filled with specific uncertainty of war and a sense of intrigue of living conditions in the early 20th century. It would be an utter privilege to actually meet you and be a part of your life.
Fond memories of you are always circulating our family life. Nana Flo always stated how much of an inspiration you were to everyone who knew you. It is just a shame I couldn’t witness your inspirational character. I always have these fond thoughts in the back of my head which spurs me on to success in life!
R.I.P
Love from Jake. Your Grandson.
