WW1 was a new beginning for women’s fashion; there are now less rules and fashion is more relaxed and free.

My grandma always believes in standing up for yourself and what you believe in. This is a lot like the women who fought for equality during WW1. She has deeply influenced my style, always telling me to be glamorous and bold. I chose to represent this through wearing bold red lipstick and her coat. This shows her personality as the colours and patterns are ‘classic’ yet strong.

Myself and my grandma practice yoga together. I also represented our spiritual connection by filling the photo’s composition with a strong yoga stance.
