She is the author of Village of Stone (the translation was shortlisted for the Independent’s Foreign Fiction Prize and nominated for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award); A Concise Chinese-English Dictionary for Lovers, which was shortlisted for the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction and has been translated into twenty-four languages; 20 Fragments of a Ravenous Youth, which was long-listed for the Man Asian Literary Prize; UFO in her Eyes, recently made into an award-winning film by Xiaolu herself; and a collection of short stories, Lovers in the Age of Indifference.
